About Iguana Guide

Iguana Guide is an independent educational publication about iguanas: how to care for them as pets, how to recognize common health problems, how they behave, how the different species compare and how wild green iguanas affect places like South Florida.

How We Write Our Guides

Each guide focuses on one question and draws on veterinary references, government wildlife agencies and established reptile-care literature. Where reputable sources disagree, for example on exact enclosure sizes or temperature ranges, we say so and give the commonly recommended range rather than a single number.

Not Veterinary Advice

Our content is general information. It cannot replace an examination by a veterinarian who treats reptiles. If your iguana is sick, injured or not eating, please contact a qualified vet.
